Lauren Skelton (she/her) holds an MFA in Editing from the American Film Institute, an MFA in Acting from The Theatre School at DePaul, and a whole lot of student loan debt.

 

She believes that comedy heals, that filmmaking is a powerful tool for inciting social change, that a good idea can come from anywhere, and the best idea always wins. With a background in improv, burlesque, and clowning, Lauren uses her extensive stage training in the edit bay to help craft performance and find the truth in every frame.

 

Her work has screened at AFI Fest, Cinequest, Cleveland International Film Festival, Hawai'i International Film Festival, Nashville Film Festival, and more.
